list of 3 skills

1. editing/ I have learned a little bit of editing before coming to college since I took i.t. as a course but not to the extend which has been taught to me from this course, i always enjoyed editing and I'm glad that thanks for the lessons learned this year i know even more and how to work with the avid software specifically.

2. directing/ I may not be very good at directing but that's mostly because I've only done it once and because of that experience i have gained an understanding of what to improve on. i know the basics of directing and look forward to doing so again since i need to improve on this skill

3.filming/ because of the one minute short project back in the middle of the year i have acquired the skill of filming on shoot and the challenges which come with said shooting. i was handling the camera work and the acting as well as the lighting and any other aspects of the look, this helped me in all three regards actually filming directing and editing were all used in this project so its no wonder it was one of my favourites

3 things i have improved on

​

1.camera work/ before coming here i knew how to work a camera but through this course i have leaned the specific details that i did not know, such as iso and shutter speed.

​

2.working on deadline/not saying I'm great at this but i have certainly improved since the last time I was here and even in the outside world. its a good thing since the workplace is sadly all about deadlines so improving it was a necessity some day.

​

3.getting my art on/ thanks to the Course I've been very artistic with my work...as you can see on my other website haha. ive been able to get even more creative as well thanks to projects like our last one which allows me to decide whatever weird thing i come up with and turn it into a bizarre  short film.

what am i most proud of/

probably the one minute short film. not only did i get to use all three skills that I've gained and that i enjoy but it was also not as hard as i was initially expecting, it was more fun than work which is one reason I'm proud of it. 

also its actually a quality product as well down to the inspired story and cool cinematography i used, not to forget the early editing skill which I put in that helped me learn more about editing.

the final result was enjoyable to watch so i guess I'm proud because in the end the project succeeded

strongest medium/

the strongest media medium is probably editing although i have much still to learn i feel that i understand it more than the others even if i cant do everything i can still make a good edit. i also enjoy doing it more than anything else in the course which is definitely an important factor in whether I'm good at something.

what i need to improve on

​

1.setting up camera/ it seems so simple but i always either take too long or forget entirely how to do it, this includes stuff like the tripod which is a pain to deal with for me. its actually kind of funny since its not the camera itself its the things around setting it up that i fail at.

​

2.people/ I'm not exactly good at talking normally with people since its sometimes hard for me to be social which is pretty bad since i have to that with most projects.

​

3.website/ I've made a website in my first year of college but when starting this year i had completely forgotten everything, and even when re learning the basics I still find it hard to remember every finite detail of making the wix websites especially when it comes to uploading the work itself on there. 

i think I'm doing better on this current one though so that's good that I'm already improving
